June 11, 2018    The Maritime Administration (MARAD) invites public comments on their intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection entitled “Application for Conveyance of Port Facility Property”. The ICR is necessary for MARAD to determine whether; the applicant is committed to the redevelopment plan, the plan is in the best interests of the public, and the property will be used in accordance with the terms of the conveyance and application statutes and regulations. MARAD is required to publish the notice in the Federal Register by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. Comments accepted. 83 FR 15668, (April 11, 2018), (MARAD-2018-0054).

June 22, 2018 In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the notice announces that the Information Collection Request entitled “Application for Construction Reserve Fund and Annual Statements (CFR)” is being forwarded to the Office of Management and Budget for review and comment. June 22, 2018  In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the notice announces that the Information Collection Request entitled “Application and Reporting Elements for Participation in the Maritime Security Program” is being forwarded to the Office of Management and Budget for review and comment. June 22, 2018  In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the notice announces that the Information Collection Request entitled “Quarterly Readiness of Strategic Seaport Facilities Reporting” is being forwarded to the Office of Management and Budget for review and comment. Comments accepted. 83 FR 23995, (May 23, 2018), (MARAD-2018-0548).

July 2, 2018  The notice provides interested parties with the opportunity to comment on the Maritime Administration’s (MARAD) application process to designate training entities as Centers of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education (CoE). The Secretary of Transportation, acting through the Maritime Administrator, may make CoE designations and enter Cooperative Agreements with CoE designees. MARAD is developing the Proposed Applicant Guide and invites public comment to ensure that the designation procedure and guidance is simple, clear, and comprehensive. MEETINGS

June 11-12, 2018  The Maritime Administration (MARAD) announces a public meeting of the U.S. Maritime Transportation System National Advisory Committee (MTSNAC) to discuss advice and recommendations for the U.S. Department of Transportation on issues related to the marine transportation system. The meeting will be held on Monday, June 11th from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, National Training Center, 1310 N.
